College Essay Embassy ("we," "us") provides essay coaching for college applicants. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Contact details you give us: name, email, and (for a scheduled call) phone number, application year, number of schools, and nearest deadline.
• Billing information, handled entirely by Stripe, we never see or store your card details.
• If you become a member: your school list, prompts, deadlines, essay drafts, advisor feedback, and call notes, kept on your private Trello board and Google Drive folder.
• Basic analytics on this site (which pages are viewed, which buttons are clicked) to understand what's working. We do not collect essay content or payment details through this website itself.

How we use it

• To schedule your fit call and manage your membership.
• To create and maintain your private Trello board and Google Drive folder, and to give you feedback on your essays.
• To process payments and send billing communications via Stripe.
• To respond to your questions and support requests.

Who we share it with

We use Calendly (scheduling), Stripe (billing), Trello (project boards), and Google Workspace (documents) to run the service. Each handles the data needed to perform its function, under their own privacy terms. We do not sell your information, and we do not automatically share your essays or session notes with any other organization, including Alton Education's admissions consulting service. Any such sharing would only happen with your explicit permission.

How long we keep it

We keep your membership data (board, documents, notes) for as long as your membership is active. After cancellation, contact us to request an export of your documents or deletion of your data; see our Cancellation Policy for details.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time to see, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing us. You can also manage your payment method and cancel your subscription directly through the Stripe Customer Portal link we send you.

Children's privacy

This service is intended for students applying to college and their families. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should review this policy and be involved in the membership decision.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. The date above reflects the latest revision.
